Sailor Tim Shaddock and his dog Bella left La Paz, Mexico three months ago on his catamaran sailboat with the goal of reaching French Polynesia.

One month into the journey, his boat was damaged in a storm that destroyed his electronics (presumably including navigational tools and radio).

The retired IT worker and cancer survivor, 51, kept himself AND his dog alive until a Mexican tuna trawler rescued them over the weekend.
