This black dude disguised himself as a white guy to commit a series of burglaries in L.A.

So I think this is gonna give me nightmares…

Like, I can't move past the idea of this man following me around my property with a chainsaw.

I just can't do it.

But this dude right here isn't a serial killer. He's a serial burglar.

And he's been arrested in Los Angeles in connection to over 30 burglaries!

Yes, okay, the elephant in the room: he's a black dude disguised as a white guy.

A super creepy white guy!

If this fictional dude in the disguise could star in a movie it'd be called "The Google Murderer."

Okay sorry, I'm getting carried away with the whole serial killer thing again. I can't help it.

So this is a black man dressed up as a white man. And that's not controversial at all. In fact, given the situation, it's pretty genius. Now, I'm not condoning this man's behavior, so don't accuse me of that. It's just, he changed his skin color and it was quite convincing, and his plan almost worked.

Almost.

Yes, all evil must eventually come to an end.

See, there were a few problems with Rockim Prowell, 30, of Inglewood's little plan (he's been doing this since at least early 2020, by the way). First off, his mask: the mouth of the mask was left open at all times (see above photos). Investigators caught on to this eventually, realizing it was, in fact, a mask.

Another thing: his car. Yes, his car was caught on video several times. And though the license plates were stolen, and probably replaced a few times too, police eventually tracked him down, stopping him last week in Beverly Hills.

Prowell was arrested, and police found the serial killer mask in his car. Records do not indicate whether or not a police officer later donned the mask and chased his colleagues around with a toy knife, but you can imagine what that would've looked like.

Police searched Prowell's home and found items connecting him to several burglaries in LA.

According to Fox News, "Prowell is currently charged with two counts each of burglary, grand theft and one count of vandalism," and "has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 25."

Oh, one last thing, because I just think this needs to be here...
