This dude rejected a girl on a dating game for not respecting Marvel comics and it may actually be the saddest thing I've seen in my life

So this was posted to Twitter because comic book fans can be a little strange and think that everyone should love them as much as they do.

The caption on this video from a dating game show on YouTube, and the comments underneath, are completely insane.

Watch:

Like, you can't not like Marvel. It's amazing. There's like so many different things and it's not anime, it's just like a bunch of superheroes who try to save everybody.

This sweaty comic-book guy just rejected a totally normal and pleasant young lady because she doesn't fangirl about Marvel comics.

He's literally the comic-book guy from The Simpsons.

She also handled it well, she didn't insult him or comics, she just said it's not her thing, maybe she'd give it a chance, and then walked away.

Listen, I like Marvel movies as much as the next guy. And I don't like to crap on people because their hobbies and interests are different than mine.

And that's not what I am doing here. I am simply stating the fact that comic books are not an important enough issue to dismiss a potential partner over.

If your life is THAT centered around comics, that's a problem.

This is a world without religion:

This quote attributed to Chesterton sums up what's happened to our society very simply:

When men stop believing in God they don't believe in nothing; they believe in anything.

We've entered into a sad, sad culture that has lost the influence of Christianity.
