When Irvaleen Marcum of Stanton, Kentucky, passed away last month, she left behind a large family and a beautiful legacy of service.

To honor her generosity and creativity, her family displayed more than 60 quilts that she had made for many people over the years. One of her beautiful creations covered each pew in the funeral home.

Hearne Funeral Home shared several pictures of the colorful display of quilts on their Facebook page:

Here are the photos of the quilts.

The obituary for Irvaleen Marcum honored her by saying,

Irvaleen was a wonderful Christian who had a great sacrificial love for others and gave of herself freely. She wanted everyone to know the Lord and to be with her in Heaven. Irvaleen was a dedicated wife who loved her husband more than anything in this life. She had a tremendous love and devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren...

What a thoughtful tribute to a woman who was obviously a very beloved matriarch!
