This is your daily reminder that the FBI knew Hillary Clinton mishandled top secret classified information, publicly admitted it, and still did nothing about it

So apparently Donald Trump really messed up this time, he's on the verge of getting charged and convicted, this is finally the end of the Orange Man as we know it, bla bla bla:

Sure, whatever.

Hey, here's a useful reminder for you: Not very long ago, the Federal Bureau of Investigation explicitly acknowledged that Hillary Clinton had transmitted highly secretive classified information over an unsecured network, and yet still the FBI did literally nothing about it:

Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.

You'll notice that the FBI appeared to claim that one needed to "intend to violate laws" related to classified information in order to get busted for the violation in question.

This is, of course, a lie. You can very easily get charged for breaking federal intelligence law even if you were unaware of an ongoing violation. "I didn't realize what I was doing!" is not gonna fly before a federal judge.

Just to make the full breathtaking scope of Clinton's violations clear, then-Director James Comey laid it out for us:

For example, seven e-mail chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received. These chains involved Secretary Clinton both sending e-mails about those matters and receiving e-mails from others about the same matters. There is evidence to support a conclusion that any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton's position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding about these matters, should have known that an unclassified system was no place for that conversation. In addition to this highly sensitive information, we also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e-mail (that is, excluding the later "up-classified" e-mails).

None of these e-mails should have been on any kind of unclassified system, but their presence is especially concerning because all of these e-mails were housed on unclassified personal servers not even supported by full-time security staff, like those found at Departments and Agencies of the U.S. Government โ€” or even with a commercial service like Gmail.

And yet what did the FBI do even after it had publicly admitted that Hillary Clinton was involved in the serial mishandling of highly classified government information?

Remember, Hillary was merely the Secretary of State with no authority to mishandle documents. Trump was President of the United States, vested with the full authority of the executive power to declassify whatever dang documents he wanted.

But yes, please go on and tell us more about how nonpartisan and totally fair the federal intelligence community really is!
