If you're going to be a criminal, you might as well become a dedicated Waffle House employee in the process.
In two hours, I wonder how many customers she helped. Because at a certain point you didn't rob the place, you worked a shift for them and they paid you. In Georgia, where this happened, the minimum wage is $7.25, so let's hope this lady got out of there with more than $14.50.
Police in Georgia are searching for a woman they say pretended to be a Waffle House employee before taking off with cash belonging to the restaurant.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. Dec. 12 in Clayton County, Riverdale Police Department said in a social media post.
The woman allegedly worked at the 24-hour restaurant for two hours prior to being seen on surveillance video "accessing the register tablet, opening the register, and stealing cash."
The amount of money taken was not disclosed.
I mean, this is genius. There's no other way to put it. I'd actually consider trying this myself if I had the time. That Waffle House hat is only $11 on Amazon and I've already got the apron. Now all I need is a name tag.
One can dream.
But man, how did this lady convince everyone on staff that she worked there? I'm concerned for the wellbeing of those other employees. You should really know who your coworkers are. Huge red flag if you ask me.
Also, I have a theory about the girl who stole the money: It's not a girl. That's why nobody can identify this perp. It's the perfect twist on the Waffle House heist.
One more time, here's the "girl" they're looking for:
Admit it, I'm onto something.
