You've seen beanies with a pom-pom on top, yeah?
Like this one:
Well, occasionally, that little pom-pom falls off of the hat. And on even fewer occasions, that pom-pom is found sitting on the side of the road, is mistaken for a baby hedgehog, and then is rescued by a local woman who then transports the pom-pom to an animal hospital in an effort to save its life.
Think I'm joking?
Lady straight-up rescued a piece of acrylic, took it home, tried to feed it, it wouldn't eat, and so then she felt the need to seek medical attention for the piece of acrylic and she took it to an animal hospital.
True story.
A Cheshire, England, woman rescued what she believed to be an abandoned baby hedgehog and took it to a local animal hospital, where veterinarians told her she had actually rescued the pom pom from a beanie hat.
The Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital said in a Facebook post that the "kind soul" rescued what she thought was a very shy baby hedgehog and took it home.
She brought it to the animal hospital the next day, concerned that it hadn't "moved or pooped all night," veterinarian Janet Kotze told The Independent.
And then the friendly folks at the vet had to tell her that, yeah, she had rescued, and been caring for, a flippin' pom-pom.
Just classic stuff out of Cheshire, England!
🤣🤣🤣
I'll leave you with that Facebook post from the vet:
