This little boy was upset because he didn't have pajamas to wear to his school's Pajama Day, but then his bus driver came to the rescue

Larry Farrish Jr. is a school bus driver in Louisville, Kentucky, who takes his job very seriously.

As he puts it, he's the first person the kids see when they leave their home in the morning and the last one they see before they return, giving him the opportunity to make a significant impact on the kids who ride on his bus.

Recently, Farrish noticed one of the first graders on his bus, named Levi, was not acting like himself.

Farrish told TODAY,

Normally when I pull up, he's standing there waiting for me with a big smile, but on this day, he was sitting on the ground with a jacket over his head. I asked him, ‘Hey buddy, what's going on? What's wrong?'

The little boy then explained that he didn't have any pajamas to wear to Pajama Day at school, which may seem like a trivial thing, but to the first grader, it was a big deal.

So, after dropping the kids off at school, Farrish took it upon himself to make a quick trip to the store to pick up a pair of PJs for the downcast first grader.

Just look how excited Levi is to be wearing his new pajamas!

Levi said of his bus driver,

I can tell Mr. Larry is nice and his heart is filled with joy. When he got me the pajamas, I did a happy cry.
