KETV Omaha reports this was in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the madman is 36-year-old Samuel Peyrot, a local.
Officers said he was behind the controls of a skid loader when he damaged multiple vehicles and businesses. Police were initially alerted to the situation around 2:30 p.m. when callers said the skid loader was vandalizing vehicles at a local convenience store.
Peyrot then went to the parking lot of a Home Depot on 70th Street, according to LPD. Once officers arrived he rammed the cruiser with the skid loader.
Peyrot faces charges of second-degree assault on an officer, second-degree assault and criminal mischief. LPD said he also damaged the exterior of two businesses and multiple vehicles. One person inside a damaged truck had minor injuries.
LPD also said one officer drew their gun, but did not fire.
