Yo, check out this new sports bar that just opened in Portland...

Now I'm no biologist, but I'm pretty sure women's sports are sports that are played by women.

Right?

And what better place than Portland for a sports bar that seems very much like a sports bar until you settle in, order a beer (made by women), and realize the only thing on TV is some WNBA game and college softball. sob

Yup, this is a real thing. And in Portland, it just might work out.

Especially since with all the males joining women's sports these days, the competition is no doubt about to pick up.

Jenny Nguyen, a chef and founder of The Sports Bra in Portland, said she believes her business is the world's first sports bar dedicated exclusively to women's sports.

The Sports Bra!!!

Pretty clever name, honestly.

But wait, there's more:

"I want people to walk in the door just thinking this is a regular sports bar and feeling like super comfortable, and when they sit down they realize all the TVs are playing women's sports; they realize the flags on the wall are women's teams…All the taps, I'm going to try to get all women-made or women-owned breweries on tap. The beef is going to come from Carman Ranch who's a lady rancher out in Wallowa, Oregon."

Here—here's the best part of this whole story.

How did Nguyen come up with this idea?

The idea came to her in 2018 after she and her friends had watched an amazing championship women's basketball game. They watched it at a sports bar with the sound off because other games had priority.

"An amazing championship women's basketball game."

Well we know that part is certainly a lie. Sounds like the second half of a Babylon Bee headline.

Honestly, this is like opening up a bar and only serving non-alcoholic beverages. Like, I know you came here to get your fix, but uhh, yeah sorry, we can't do that for ya.

I can't wait for the Portland trans women and the actual women of Portland to butt heads at this place!

I wonder who will win.

For the record, this is the world's first, and hopefully last, women's sports bar.
