SO DANG WHOLESOME: You've never seen best buds like this little dude and the crow his family rescued 🥹

Last August, a Danish family rescued a crow fledgling, and as they were unable to find any local wildlife rehabilitation centers that were able to take the malnourished bird, they decided to nurse it back to health themselves.

After several months with the family, the bird they named "Russell" was restored to health but had become very attached to their little boy, Otto.

And when I say attached, I mean it:

Now the bird follows the boy around the yard, taps on their window when he wants the boy to come outside, and even keeps a lookout when it's time for Otto to come home from daycare each day.

Otto's mom, Lærke, said of their friendship,

Russell is a wild bird, he's not around all the time, but when Otto is outside, he'll never leave Otto's side. They have a special bond.

Lærke went on to say,

Living with Russell means there is never a dull moment in our life. He allows us to interact with nature in a way that most people are not able to. We're his flock.
