The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL), a Milwaukee-based conservative law firm, is demanding the Sun Prairie Area School District explain why it failed to protect several young girls from being sexually harassed by an adult male.
As WILL detailed in a letter to the school district, last month four freshman girls at a local high school were participating in a swim unit as part of a physical education class. Following the end of the exercise, they proceeded to the girl's locker room to shower and change up.
In the locker room when they arrived was an 18-year-old male student, one who reportedly identified as female. The freshman girls were uncomfortable but proceeded to shower with their suits on:
As they began to shower, the male student approached them, entered the shower area, announced "I'm trans, by the way," and then undressed fully and showered completely naked right next to one of the girls. He was initially turned towards the wall but eventually turned and fully exposed his male genitalia to the four girls.
So that's called sexual harassment. It's a crime. In Wisconsin it could have been a Class 1 felony, depending on the specific ages of the victims and the perpetrator.
So did the school respond appropriately? Did it suspend the student sexually harassing the young girls, report the incident to the proper authorities, offer the girls counseling and support?
Oh, you sweet summer child, no. Of course it didn't. Modern education administrators almost always come down on the side of transgenderism at the expense of young girls. It's just how they roll now.
School administrators did find out about the incident a week later. But they did nothing about it. Zilch. Nada. It wasn't until nearly a month later that administrators held a meeting with the parents of the victims. And that meeting was about as productive as you'd imagine:
There was no indication that the District intends to address this matter in any way or change any policy.
Girls sexually harassed by a grown man? Check. School does nothing about it? Check. School refuses to change the policies that led to this disgusting episode? Check.
So what did the school do? Well, the principal eventually got around to emailing one of the parents a "guidance" policy regarding the school's bathroom rules. And that, again, was about precisely what you'd expect:
Under the guidance document, males may still use the girls' locker room and may do so without any regard for the privacy or comfort of female students. ....
It is quite telling that, according to the guidance document, if biological girls desire more privacy, it is the girls who must leave and use a separate bathroom or locker room.
Ah, okay. A grown man exposed his naked body to young girls and the school's response is: "Deal with it, shut up, if you don't like it then go to a private bathroom like a pariah."
The WILL has filed a records request related to the school's response to the sexual harassment incident. Good. Expose these frauds to the light of day.
In the meantime: If your daughter is in a school district that permits this type of sexual harassment against her, think very seriously about whether or not she's truly safe at her school.
Because it's increasingly obvious that most school administrators will do nothing to protect her.
