California police are looking for this man, who is suspected of using a five-finger discount to collect nearly $40,000 worth of merchandise from Target stores across the state's southern region.

Hey Irvine Police, I thought this was California — a free state. Aren't we supposed to let people "live their truth"? I mean, what's so bad about this? He's just trying to eat.

Am I right?!?

To all my readers out there: I hope you know I'm kidding.

Cops have reportedly been trying to catch the "serial thief" since October.

He has allegedly been on an extended crime spree, gathering over $39,000 of stolen goods.

Although the shopper is suspected of stealing various high-ticket items, the theft of iPads is a recent occurrence, according to what investigators told KABC.

The man is said to be specifically stealing from Target locations, per Yahoo News.

Police have asked the public for assistance in identifying the man in the clips.

$39,000!!!

That's like 60 iPads right there, though it does say iPads are his most recent targeted item so you can go ahead and dream up the number of other things he has mixed in his loot bag.

Crazy to think that someone could rip off Target for nearly $40,000.

Well, I hope they catch this guy soon.

Then again, I mean, it is California, so...

Live your truth, man.

Live your truth.
