Yeah, this is crazy ๐
[Warning: Graphic]
The attack itself happened in Ithaca, New York. Ed Russo, a CBS meteorologist from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, shared the video and said the woman was his cousin.
The fox reportedly attacked another person before it was found, killed, and tested positive for rabies. You'd think that I, Harambe, would be upset by a wild creature getting put down in that fashion, but I don't mess with no rabies. Come back when that fox is killed for trying to give a kid a hug!
"She did everything right," Russo wrote, reiterating that his relative "is OK." He said the fox that attacked her nearly did the same to another person soon after the incident happened, but was caught in time.
I bet this wouldn't have happened if we all took Michael Scott more seriously!
Jokes aside, I would be freaked out if a fox went to town on my arm like that. If you don't know, rabies is a certain death sentence without treatment before the symptoms start (days to years).
Because we live in the enlightened age of 2022, however, some peeps felt it necessary to express their sympathy โ not for the woman, mind you, but for the dang fox.
Then there were the people with these comments:
And the racist comments:
Yup.
Anyway, here's another reason to carry a gun!
