I agree with everything she says. It took them a lot of education, hard work, and networking to get to the point where they could live comfortably.
($120,000 sounds like a lot of comfort, but if you live in a big city like I assume this woman does, it's often not enough to be solidly middle class.)
With eggs, milk, bacon, and gas skyrocketing, those that managed to achieve the American Dream are finding themselves back at square one.
