I could not tell you why anyone would choose to live in Los Angeles.

Here's one more example of California quickly becoming the worst state to live in.

General Hospital star Johhny Wactor was shot and killed by thugs who were trying to steal the catalytic converter underneath his car.

According to the L.A. Police Department, officers responded to the area of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street around 3:25 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said the man saw three men stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle. When he confronted them, they turned around and shot him.

The dude reportedly shouted at the thieves who were climbing under his car, and then they turned around and shot him in the street, leaving him for dead.

According to other reports, using testimony from his brother, Johnny was protecting a young woman and walking her to her car at the time of the shooting.

Wactor, 37, was walking the unidentified friend to her own car when he came across the three thieves who'd jacked up his car at around 3:25 a.m. Saturday, his brother Grant told the Daily Mail.

'We're Southern, born and raised, and we would never let a female walk to their car by herself,' the grieving brother said.

'He came across them and he thought his truck was being towed. So he said something to the guys, like, 'Hey, are you towing?'

'And then once he turned around, he saw what was happening and he put his coworker behind him. And that's when they shot him.'

Dude didn't even try to stop the thieves or anything like that. And he was shot in cold blood.

LA is a nightmare.
