This kind of stuff makes your heart jump!

We don't have any other details at the moment other than shots were fired in the vicinity of Trump National Golf Club at Mar-A-Lago while the former president was out playing golf this Sunday afternoon.

Here's the short statement from the Trump Campaign.

There are unsubstantiated reports that a gunman may be in custody.

We will update you as soon as we know anything for sure.

UPDATE:

Secret Service confirms report:

It was not immediately clear whether the reported shots were targeted at the Republican presidential nominee.

The U.S. Secret Service said it was investigating and that the incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. 'The former president is safe,' according to the Secret Service.

...

A law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation said officials were trying to determine whether the shots were fired near Trump's West Palm Beach golf course or on the grounds. The official was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Again, no more official information on a suspect yet.

Video from scene:

The New York Post is reporting some new information, again, none of this is officially substantiated:

Sources said the Secret Service spotted a suspicious individual on the Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach, and opened fire when agents saw what appeared to be the barrel of a gun.

It's not clear whether the man was on the course or near it.

An agent opened fire, shooting multiple times ...

The man was later arrested by local police on I-95.

Stay here and we'll let you know if anything else is confirmed.
