Tulsi was right: Syrian rebels are rounding up and killing Christians now that they control the country. Come learn what's happening.

Remember when the Neocons and Libs all called Tulsi Gabbard a toadie and stooge because she opposed the overthrow of Assad in Syria? We remember.

No one here thinks Assad was a good guy, but the tidal wave of violence he held back is becoming more and more obvious by the day.

Syria is experiencing its deadliest period since the ousting of longtime President Bashar al-Assad three months ago, as clashes have erupted between government forces and pro-al Assad fighters this week, leaving hundreds of civilians and fighters dead.

Since Thursday, more than 1,000 people β€” including Christian minorities and Alawites, the sect to which Assad belongs β€” have been killed, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) and local reports.

Disturbing video of Syrians with murdered Christians and others can be seen here. I've looked through them, and I simply cannot share them here due to the violence.

Tulsi was right in her assessment during her Senate confirmation hearing, and her detractors are deadly wrong.

Senator Mike Lee asks an important question that we all know the answer to.

Sorry, Senator Lee, being in Washington means never having to say you're sorry.

And it's not just Tulsi who deserves an apology, of course. It's the persecuted Christian minorities in the Middle East.

Here's part of a statement from the Middle East Council of Churches, an inter-denominational alliance of Christians in the Middle East:

In recent days, Syria has witnessed a dangerous escalation of violence, brutality, and killings, resulting in attacks on innocent civilians, including women and children. Homes have been violated, their sanctity disregarded, and properties looted β€” scenes that starkly reflect the immense suffering endured by the Syrian people.

More than a thousand killed just in the past few days, a large number of them Christians.
