Remember when Turkish Parliament member Hasan Bitmez collapsed after a fiery speech against Israel, saying they "will not escape the wrath of Allah"?
Apparently, two main arteries in his heart were completely blocked.
"His heart stopped beating, then he was resuscitated in parliament and transferred within 20 minutes to hospital" where medical machinery kept him alive, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca had said on Tuesday.
In the end though, the doctors could not save him. Bitmez passed away.
Members of the AK Party, which Turkey's President Erdogan belongs to, called the parliament member's death "God's wrath," thus invoking God's wrath on a guy who invoked God's wrath.
(Maybe let's cool it for a sec, eh?)
Both of these guys are referring to Allah and not the God of Israel, which is an important distinction. I guess Erdogan's party wasn't happy that Bitmez was also criticizing them during his rant.
"You allow ships to go to Israel and you shamelessly call it trade... You are Israel's accomplice," Bitmez said in his speech after placing a banner on the podium reading: "Murderer Israel; collaborator AKP.
"You have the blood of Palestinians on your hands, you are collaborators. You contribute to every bomb Israel drops on Gaza."
I guess the only one who can answer if this was an act of God's wrath or just a random heart attack is Bizmet, now that he's standing before the ultimate Judge.
