Tennessee state Reps. Justin Jones and Justin J. Pearson are projected to win their elections for their previously held House seats in Nashville and Memphis, respectively.

"This is only the beginning for this Movement," Pearson said in a statement. "We will organize, mobilize and activate to work tirelessly for the day when there are no more calls to respond to mass shootings and gun violence."

"I look forward to heading back to the Tennessee state capitol Aug. 21 for the special session on gun legislation. We, the People, will march, rally and work to pass legislation."

Jones and Pearson were expelled from the House in April for "disorderly behavior" and bringing "disorder and honor to the House of Representatives" whilst advocating for gun control after the Covenant School shooting in Nashville in March.
