Where's a guy supposed to get an Almond Joy now?

According to KTLA, students and staff of UC San Diego returning to campus today will now have access to free coronavirus test kits, and they'll be delivered via vending machine.

When students and staff return for winter quarter Jan. 4, they'll be expected to conduct daily symptom and exposure screenings and participate in no-cost weekly testing. UCSD ramped up symptomatic and asymptomatic testing efforts with the goal of quickly identifying and containing any outbreaks.

In total there are 11 COVID-19 test kit vending machines across campus, and students and staff who use them will be required to return their samples to a drop box within 72 hours.

No word yet on whether or not the tests will contain a nougety center, but I'm still holding out hope.

That's actually not the only unique way UC San Diego is trying to monitor and contain COVID-19. They are also doing this thing where they monitor the wastewater leaving each of their buildings, and if they detect traces of coronavirus in it they are able to notify the building or specific part of a building that the wastewater came from.

Which is a pretty brilliant idea, if you ask me.
