Update: Catholic Diocese of Lexington uses transgender pronouns in statement defending "trans monk"
· May 22, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Welp, I guess we shouldn't be surprised, but the Catholic Diocese of Lexington has doubled down in apparent defiance of the Catholic Church.

Yesterday, we told you about a Catholic "monk" who has been serving as a hermit for years as a man when, in reality, she's a girl. She "came out" on Pentecost Sunday as "transgender" with the support of her bishop.

Since the media firestorm that followed, which the diocese fully anticipated, the church in Lexington has stood strong in its defense of allowing this woman living in open rebellion to God and nature to serve in the church.

Here's the statement in its entirety:

On Pentecost Sunday, Brother [sic] Christian Matson, a professed hermit in the Diocese of Lexington, has made it public that he [sic] is a transgender person. Brother [sic] Christian has long sought to consecrate his [sic] life to Christ in the Church by living the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience. He [sic] has consistently been accompanied by a competent spiritual director and has undergone formation in the Benedictine tradition. He [sic] does not seek ordination, but has professed a rule of life that allows him [sic] to support himself financially by continuing his [sic] work in the arts and to live a life of contemplation in a private hermitage. Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv., accepted his [sic] profession and is grateful to Brother [sic] Christian for his [sic] witness of discipleship, integrity and contemplative prayer for the Church.

Man, I never thought I'd have to provide so many grammatical corrections to a statement from a Catholic diocese. But when the diocese in Lexington insists on lying about the sex of one of their religious leaders, it becomes necessary.

Not only is the diocese helping a member of the church live in deceitful rebellion against God, they are also lying to you about this woman's identity to protect this person's feelings and to confuse the issue.

Bishop John Stowe is the one who personally allowed Matson to serve and put out this statement of support. Think about that - a bishop!

Couldn't have said it better myself.
