You hear about the egregiousness of the debts owed by the federal government of our United States of America ... but you don't really know.

We shall start with this tweet from Wall Street Silver (solid follow btw):

US paid $853 Billion in Interest for $31 Trillion Debt in 2022; More than Defense Budget in 2023.

If the Fed keeps rates at at these levels (or higher) we will be at $1.2 trillion to $1.5 trillion in interest paid on the debt.

The US govt collects about $4.9 trillion in taxes.

We paid $853 billion in interest on $31 trillion in debt last year!

Look at that chart. Would you buy a company after they showed you a debt chart like that?
