In Nebraska earlier this month a meatpacker faced a crisis when an ICE raid rounded up a lot of their employees.
Funny enough, when this happened Americans sort of just showed up to take those jobs.
Well, the Wall Street Journal recently featured a new meatpacking plant in the state with a novel idea to replace illegal aliens in their workforce.
Wait ... I thought the line was "immigrants do the work Americans won't do."
But it seems to be the case that illegal immigrants will gladly do work Americans won't do for slave wages and in extremely dangerous conditions.
Yes, the plant is going to incentivize Americans to work by paying a living wage and by making work less dangerous.

Why has no one thought of this before? Has the slave immigrant class just been in such a poor negotiating position that it wasn't necessary?
The subheading says it all:
A Nebraska slaughterhouse offers ergonomic work stations and no night shift to lure employees as the immigration crackdown threatens its traditional labor force.
Yep. When the cheap labor pool disappears plants are going to have to stop undercutting the wages of real Americans.
Taking matters into their own hands, North Platte leaders have embraced an industry that has long conjured images of bloody, hazardous working conditions while supplying products for American dinner tables. The company believes the gleaming plant will appeal to locals who never would have considered doing such work. Nationwide, over half of all front-line meatpacking workers are immigrants, according to the Center for Economic and Policy Research, and turnover is high.
Let's see, Americans can work in traditional American industries, work in safer conditions than ever, and make more money than they would have competing with illegal aliens.
Am I getting this right?

The reactions tell it all:
Yes, this is what we meant by "Make America Great Again!"
