It is so weird and inexplicable how proponents of critical race theory insist that it's just an arcane, little-known academic discipline in higher education and yet it keeps popping up in essentially every major institution in the United States:
Woke Walmart has trained more than 1,000 employees in critical race theory, denouncing the US as a "white-supremacy system" โ and telling staffers to accept their "guilt and shame" and stop thinking "white is right," according to leaked documents.
The retail giant confirmed to City Journal that it has been working with the Racial Equity Institute, a North Carolina company devoted to "creating racially equitable organizations."
Walmart said it has "engaged REI for a number of training sessions since 2018" and has "found these sessions to be thought-provoking and constructive..."
It is mandatory for executives and recommended for hourly-wage store staff โ with more than 1,000 having already been trained, Rufo reported.
Be honest with us: Are you surprised by this?
Of course not! Critical race theory is in many ways mainstream at this point. Walmart, meanwhile, is nearly the definition of American mainstream. Why wouldn't they have started forcing it on their workforce?
Remember this the next time someone tries to tell you that CRT is limited solely to faculty lounges and master's theses!
