Hey, Texas folks: I dunno what you're doing over there to cheese off the birds, but you should probably stop it right away.

A Walmart in Texas that was overrun by thousands of birds has been hailed as a sign of "death," "disaster" and the "apocalypse."

Shoppers were seemingly trapped in their cars—and presumably the store—when the flock descended onto the supermarket's parking lot, off highway 80 in Mesquite.

I mean look I'm not trying to be callous here but...Texans have lots of guns, right? I mean, couldn't they just... you know.... with the guns?

Is that wrong? You'd tell me if that was wrong, right? I guess it's probably wrong. Don't do that.

Well, anyway, here's some insane footage of the massive Walmart flock:

Evidently this is becoming a regular thing in Texas? This was apparently "the other day" in Houston:

In fact, it's so common in Texas that, according to Newsweek, the University of North Texas has literally deployed ordnance to deal with the problem:

We're employing a propane-powered cannon that goes off randomly to discourage them from roosting in those particular trees.

Alfred Hitchcock did warn us that this was going to happen. But we didn't listen.
