Remember how Star Wars actress Gina Carano got fired for comparing cancel culture to Nazi Germany?
What should happen then to ex-senators who compare Gina Carano to literal Nazis?
That right there is former North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp. She literally called Carano a Nazi on national TV. Not "like" a Nazi, but a literal Nazi.
The statement called Bill Maher's eyebrows to raise just a bit, because he knew she had just crossed a major defamation line.
Notice how he tries to reign her in, so she tones down her accusation from "Nazi" to "involved with white supremacists" to "hangs with white supremacists."
Note that none of this is true. Gina Carano is not, in fact, a white supremacist and has never indicated any beliefs in line with such racial ideology.
And unless this disgraceful ex-senator has any evidence of Carano hanging around with secret cabals of klan members in the woods, she just slandered a woman with zero evidence based on her own ideological hatred.
Here's how the grace-filled Gina Carano responded:
No matter how much you detest racism, if you're conservative the Left will brand you a Nazi to dehumanize you – which ultimately makes future violence against you justified.
