Non-patriots need to take notes.

Watch Ozzie Guillen, former MLB player and manager, tear up while talking about the day he became an America citizen. 🇺🇸

Born in Venezuela, Guillen breaks down in tears during a pre-game show for the Chicago White Sox's game on Sunday.

"It's special. People don't know how hard that is. How many people die... How many people want to be American. This is an honor for me."

I'm not crying… you are.

Being born in America – and being proud of it – is one thing, but seeing someone come from hardship (like a socialist hellhole) and become the epitome of the American dream is another level of red, white and blue love.

These days, the idea that America is a bad, evil, and racist place is constantly being shoved in our faces.

Hearing this tough guy from Venezuela express his gratitude for all the opportunities this country has given him and his family will hopefully give some people a much-needed source of appreciation.
