Check out this insane new addition to the Vegas strip while I write an urgent letter to Gandalf.

The MGM Sphere cost $2.3 billion to create and lit up for the first time on Tuesday for the 4th of July. It is essentially a huge, circular screen with 1.2 million LEDs spanning 366 feet high and 516 feet wide, and will open to the public in about three months for concerts and other events, beginning with the band U2.

Or, at least that's what they want you to believe. 😉
