Amid horrific fire devastation in LA, one beautiful uplifting moment shined through.
Local homeowner Casey Colvin was interviewed on Tuesday by an NBC reporter. He lost everything in the Palisades Fire, and couldn't find his beloved dogs, Oreo and Tika Tika Tika.
The man had been away in the city when the evacuation orders went out and was unable to get back home.
Here was Colvin on NBC Tuesday:
After firefighters had seen Casey crying in the street, they were able to reunite him with one of his two dogs, Tika Tika Tika. Seeing how devastated Casey was, NBC reporter Liz Kreutz decided to rally followers on the internet to find the other dog, Oreo.
It had been five days, and Colvin still had no idea whether or not Oreo was still alive.
Eventually, he was able to get back home, and found that, amid the devastation, his dog was still there waiting for him.
Watch the tearjerking video:
It's quite something to see a man dancing, cheering, and praising Jesus in the middle of the rubble. With so much devastation, it becomes clear what matters most.
Continue to pray for the victims of the fires in Los Angeles.
