This is big if true.

In a recent book, Sarah Wynn-Williams went public with accusations that Mark Zuckerberg and the higher ups at Meta have been in bed with the Chinese government and have worked with the ChiComms to censor free speech.

She went to Capitol Hill yesterday and spilled the beans to Congress.

Here's her opening statement:

Meta is suing Wynn-Williams over her accusations, because of course. Here she talks about the "legal gag order" that has prohibited her from giving specifics:

Yeah. These are big allegations.

Missouri's Josh Hawley dug a little deeper.

Hawley: 'This is exactly contrary to what Facebook has represented for years. Here they're willing to build data centers, store data, in China. They are willing, explicitly, to give the Chinese government access to it and if that means that American user data is compromised they're willing to do that too. All for profits in China, there's virtually nothing they weren't willing to do.'

I can't tell you if Meta is guilty, but these are official Meta documents we're talking about here.

Senators Marsha Blackburn and Josh Hawley had this to say about how Facebook and Instagram target American users with advertising.

Seems like really, really sketchy stuff.
