This is a truly glorious thing to watch. Tucker Carlson chews up and spits out fake conservative governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson, who joined the cowardly Kristi Noem of South Dakota in caving to pressure from the transgender lobby. Hutchison vetoed a bill that would protect minors from chemical castration through hormone drugs and puberty blockers.
Hutchison, foolishly, decided it would be a good idea to go on Tucker Carlson's show and defend his cowardly position.
Just watch as Tucker embarrasses the governor.
Well, that went about as well as could be expected.
The Arkansas governor decided it would be a good idea to try to pitch his veto of the bill as a "conservative" move. Stating that he believed in limited government and that the state didn't have a right to interfere with medical decisions.
First off, that sounds A LOT like the libertarian defense of abortion, something the governor would no doubt reject. Secondly, as Carlson pointed out, it's completely hypocritical when Arkansas has many, many laws on the books that restrict decisions that can be made for minors, such as drinking age, age of consent, purchasing guns, etc.
I think fake conservatives are going to learn one very important thing when it comes to posturing for the base: Don't mess with Tucker Carlson!
