Can't tell if that's superstition, competitive nature, or just straight-up dumb. But, I mean, he got on base.
No. 8 Ko Yamaguchi A switch hitter who alternates between the right and left batting positions for each pitch! A determined run to get on base!
I do this all the time, just for fun, when my kid's pitching; but when you switch-hit your strategy is to hit left against righties and right against lefties. So I'm really not sure what this kid is up to. Definitely getting in the pitcher's head though, which counts for something.
