What was the ref looking at on the obvious no-call that lost the game for the Vikings?

I guess the NFL really doesn't want to see three teams from the NFC North in the playoffs this year, cuz watch this play which lost the game for Minnesota last night and tell me it's not the most obvious grasping-the-facemask penalty you've seen in a while.

Second and ten, a minute-forty left, Minnesota down by one score, and this happens:

From the NFL's website:

If a player grasps an opponent's facemask or helmet opening, he must immediately release it. He shall not grasp and control, twist, turn, push, or pull the facemask or helmet opening of an opponent in any direction.

Penalty: For twisting, turning, pushing, pulling, or controlling the mask or helmet opening: Loss of 15 yards. The player may be disqualified if the action is flagrant. If the foul is by the defense, it is also an automatic first down.

You mean to tell me with this angle you weren't able to catch that blatant facemask?

Bro, you're the white hat! The leader of the referee crew.

And not just you, but two of you missed it:

Even Byron Young thought there was a flag coming.

He did have the perfect response though.

🤣🤣🤣

But seriously, can you imagine how many flags would've been on the turf if that was Patrick Mahomes's facemask?

Not for Sam Darnold and the Vikings though!

Another questionable, game-altering call in the No Fun League.

Yo, NFL refs, are you trying to make us think your league is rigged?

Cuz you're doing a great job of it!
