"Burn the house down!" was just one suggestion offered to a mom from Sydney, Australia, who walked into her daughter's bedroom only to find hundreds — HUNDREDS! — of huntsman spiders crawling all over the walls.
The mom, Claudia, was summoned to the room by her daughter who said she'd found a clutter (that's the technical term, folks) of spiders behind one of her curtains.
Mom was pretty calm and collected, but then she pulled back the other curtain and …
Amazingly, mom was STILL really calm and collected.
She was determined to steer them out of the house unharmed, because, "… they are baby huntsman, I actually like huntsman, so I was like, I'm not going to do anything," she told 9News, Sydney.
JUST STOP AND GET THE RAID (or the flame thrower!)
She didn't really blink until she opened the window to coax them outside and a strong wind blew them all back in.
At this point I'm in full cardiac arrest.
Claudia was only momentarily freaked. She regrouped and instructed her daughter to help her scoop them all up into little glasses and transport them all outdoors.
Her friend tweeted pics and video ...
Amazingly, her daughter agreed to sleep in her room that night (though she moved her pillow to the other end of the bed, farther away from the spider wall).
By morning, they reported that all the spiders were gone.
Blimey! They're made of some pretty bold stock Down Under. Well, Claudia is actually from Germany, but the way she stood up to those huntsman was totally bonzer. Heaps o' composure, this one!
I'm bettin' most every man, woman, and child in the USA would have taken the original advise to BURN THE HOUSE DOWN!
