Why did the entire media complex and our president lie about Trump's use of the word "bloodbath" over the weekend? Check out the hypocrisy.

If you didn't see it, here were the headlines:

Look at how Politico, the outlet that bills itself as a balanced, nuanced, informed analysis of political policy, presented it:

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, Joe Biden's go-to news host, posted this:

The sitting president doubled down on the media coverage, directly claiming that his rival, the former duly elected president of the United States, was calling for insurrection and violence.

This begs the question:

What did Trump actually say?

He was talking about a bloodbath in the American car industry if China, which is building factories in Mexico, is allowed to push its cheap vehicles into the U.S. market:

I'm as guilty of sharing the occasional clip out of context as the next person working in the news. It's hard not to jump on your ideological foes when they seem to be making a classic blunder.

But there's a difference between that knee-jerk, "look what he said!" reaction and a sustained, refuse-to-admit-your-mistake crusade where you quadruple down on the lie.

In this case, the media is claiming the word "bloodbath" was another "dog whistle" by Trump: That he knew what he was saying because all of us know (obviously) that the word "bloodbath" isn't used by polite people.

And they refuse to tell the truth:

Thank the Lord for social accounts like Defiant L's who unveil the lying clown show for what it is.

Check out the hypocrisy at play:

This guy somehow topped Olbermann:

It's the "very fine people on both sides" lie all over again!

No one until 5 seconds ago thought twice about using the word "bloodbath" metaphorically. Now that Trump said it though, new definitions must be created.

Millions of dollars will be spent today to pay for salaries, equipment, and utilities that try to convince hundreds of millions of Americans that the word "bloodbath" only refers to Trump's desire to kick off Civil War 2.0.

Aren't we sick of these lies yet?

For all the imperfections of Donald Trump, the absolute evil of the media makes him look like a saint.
