There's a reason we call ourselves Not The Bee.

Sure, Kyle Mann and the boys would've added a few zeroes there, but this is still Beyond Parody.

And of course it comes from Canada.

From The Winnipeg Sun:

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is urging the City of Winnipeg to cancel its official podcast, Our City, Our Podcast, citing low engagement and what it calls wasteful spending of public money.

According to documents obtained by the CTF through a Freedom of Information request, the podcast cost taxpayers $34,994 between March 2024 and September 2025. That total includes staff time, production, hosting fees, and equipment purchases.

And here I thought nobody would ever mooch off of the government with a paid job that produces nothing!

Here's another line you'll never believe:

Despite the city's efforts to highlight municipal work behind the scenes, engagement numbers have been low. The CTF said the city's own data show only 81 subscribers and view counts often under 100 per episode. The most-watched episode has [154] views on YouTube.

81 subscribers!

For this:

It's like NPR but somehow even more boring!

One of the episodes only has 39 views!

🤣🤣🤣

Winnipeg has spent $35,000 for around 2,000 views on YouTube!

How much you wanna bet they call it racism to want this program off the air and try their hand at hitting 3,000 views over the next twelve months?
