You know baseball needs more of?

Woke white dudes expressing white guilt for colonization, I guess?

For those who don't know, the song goes "Our home AND native land," and the original French version said "land of our ancestors."

But singer JP Saxe, who has publicly ranted against Israel and other "colonizers," decided to insert the idea that evil European settlers stole the land from peaceful, utopian native tribes.

The push to spread leftwing, revisionist history is not without consequence. This isn't just happening at baseball games.

A woke judge just took up the matter in a suburb of Vancouver, telling the city of Richmond that it must "return" land used by a local tribe 200+ years ago as a summer fishing ground, despite the fact that homes, businesses, and utility infrastructure now exist on that land.

That court case could set a precedent for other claims across the nation.

So, who does the land go to? The Iroquois slaughtered other tribes, like the Hurons and the Algonquins, so they could have trading rights with Europeans. Do we give the land back to the them, or to the tribes they stole it from? Or perhaps the tribes they conquered before that, or perhaps the tribes they conquered before that?

What about France's right to the land? After all, they lost Canada to England in 1763. Do they have no claim?

That same year, the British issued a Royal Proclamation to formalize the purchase of land from tribes. Only the king could purchase land through state-sponsored treaties; this ensured that there would be no question as to the validity of the property transfer.

There were at least 35 such land treaties/purchases made between the British Crown and native tribes between 1763 and 1860 alone, representing millions of square miles. A further 11 treaties were recognized between 1871 - 1921 as British settlers continued to move out West.

But in 2025, woke singers tell stadiums full of baseball fans that the land was stolen.

There's only one reason you'd do that, and it's to justify taking away those fans' homes.

Ironically, the land probably isn't going to end up in the hands of the native "Indians"! ๐Ÿ‘‡
