For more evidence that crime and violence are out of hand, this story out of Atlanta is tragic and astounding.
A man in Atlanta shot two Subway employees, killing one, because they put too much mayonnaise on his sandwich.
From Fox 5:
The owner of the Subway says the reason for the shooting was something small: a customer was mad about mayo.
"Believe it or not, it was about too much mayonnaise on his sandwich," owner Willie Glenn said.
Atlanta is now turning into the Wild West.
Consider:
People are being shot and killed over the tiniest thing. There is no law and order.
Interim Chief of Police Darin Schierbaum said arguments are the reason for the majority of homicides in the city right now.
In this argument, police say the customer shot two Subway employees, leaving one woman dead and another rushed to surgery.
"He decided to escalate the situation and from there - that's when all hell broke loose," Glenn said.
Glenn said one of the employee's children was inside the store when the shooting started.
"One of the young ladies who was killed today, her son was in the store. She had a young son that had to witness all of this," he said.
This little boy witnessed his mother's murder over a Subway sandwich!
Glenn said the manager on duty returned fire at the suspect, but wasn't able to hit him.
"I don't know what the world is coming to especially with our youth. They seem to be so hot headed," he said. "Everybody wants to carry a gun. Everybody wants to scare somebody with a gun. It's scary out here."
The situation in these major cities is frightening. The manager of Subway was packing, and rightly so, in order to protect himself from some idiot who might come to the store and kill him.
Unfortunately, the murderer got away and the police are still on the hunt.
Thank goodness the Supreme Court has ruled that you have the right to defend yourself away from home. You're gonna need it.
