The best thing that the anti-police movement ever did was force police to wear bodycams.
[Warning: There is no blood or gore, but this is graphic and has foul language.]
Horrific.
Reminds me of this 👇
On June 7, the mother of 30-year-old Orlando resident Terry Washington Jr. called police on her son because he was having manic episodes. His behavior was apparently frightening enough for her to be sitting in her car when officers arrived.
The mother told officers that Terry had a warrant out for his arrest because he had not been taking his medication.
Shortly after Orange County deputies entered the Orlando home, they made their way to the bedroom and knocked on the door, asking Terry if they could talk with him. As soon as Terry emerged, he lunged at them.
Here's a slightly longer video:
Let me be clear: I am not celebrating this man's death. This is tragic, both for the mentally ill man and the officer who had to take his life to save his own. That officer will live with this for the rest of his life, even if it was a lawful and just shoot.
I also don't care about the color of the perp's skin, except for how the media and activists would have used it to advance their own agenda.
So let's talk about that:
If those cams didn't exist, there's a good chance Al Sharpton would be on the ground in 24 hours to foment a race riot, claiming the police department was racist against this poor black man. After all, it was a white officer that shot the black perp - and in his own home.

Local news outlets are already running stories about the family's anger and frustration toward the police department:
Without any kind of video evidence to prove the contrary, that could quickly be spun up to the national level with implications of racism included. This has been done many times over several decades.
Major news networks would run stories 24/7 so everyone knows the name of Terry Washington. This would, in turn, further stoke the flames of race riots, causing Nike stores to be looted en masse.
The media would, of course, visit the scenes of the riots to spin them positively for the American public.
Next, prominent leftists like President Obama would tweet about how racist America is, signaling to the Ivy League types that they need to get with the program.

After this, Terry Washington's name might be used to push for socialist legislation that strips Americans of their rights and equality in the name of "equity," so that leftists can capture more institutional power and further divide Americans.

But none of this is going to happen, because the cameras the activists pushed for in order to prove the police are racist actually proved the opposite.
Instead, we have the truth: The tragedy of an unwell man who lost his life while assaulting an officer of the peace.
We don't pay our police officers enough.
