Flying somewhat under the cover provided by two ideologically radical left-wing coastlines, the state of Colorado has slowly but surely been emerging as a testing ground for unhinged, morally degenerate progressivism.
It is true that Jefferson once called states the "laboratories of democracy." It is also true that experiments conducted in laboratories often reveal catastrophic miscalculations and assumption errors. For those paying attention, that is exactly what is about to happen in the Centennial State, where Governor Jared Polis continues to demonstrate his vigorous religious devotion to LGBT politics and its disastrous gender ideology.

Anyone with a lick of common sense could see where this buffoonery would end.
As an ideologue, Polis regularly surrenders his intellect to his passions, persuaded by causes and crusades more than logic and legality. So, it should come as no surprise to anyone, including the people of Colorado that foolishly elected a partisan activist rather than a governor, that his latest foray into ideological madness is threatening the constitutional rights of religious Coloradans. Desperately seeking to pacify and please his militant base, Polis has abused his power by forcing his religious constituents to choose between their convictions and following the law.

A Christian summer camp in the foothills near Bailey expects to be shut down by state regulators in the coming months unless a federal judge decides that it can legally separate campers by sex rather than by their gender identity.
Camp IdRaHaJe, a portmanteau for 'I'd rather have Jesus,' was founded in 1948 and operates week-long summer programs for children ages six to 17 on its 262 acres.
To be sure, these very concerns were cited by opponents to Polis's misgendering law when he was pushing it through the legislature. This didn't sneak up on anybody. The progressive leaders of Colorado knew this was coming, and yet they persisted.
The state's law requires camps like IdRaHaJe to permit campers to use bathrooms, locker rooms, and bedrooms aligning with their "gender identity" - directly contradicting the Christian camp's doctrinal statement that declares, "God has immutably created each person as either male or female in His image," and "the differentiation of the sexes, male and female, is part of the divine image in the human race."
In other words, the Christian camp holds to Christian doctrine. But Governor Polis and his band of merry men in the legislature have now lifted the gun of government to the head of church camps and threatened to pull the trigger should they refuse to bow the knee.
LGBTism is the official state religion of Colorado, and all will worship accordingly.
This is the kind of behavior that once prompted left-wing commentator Bill Maher to refer to these radicals as the "rainbow mafia." Whether it's compelled participation in activities that violate consciences, or prohibition on maintaining standards of sexual morality in hiring practices, or the muzzling the free expression of entities and individuals under the guise of "hate speech," or the denial of access to public services and public spaces due to holding orthodox Christian views on sexuality and gender, this isn't a passive movement of citizens simply seeking equal rights.
It's a revolutionary brigade of belligerence fully committed to the eradication of Christian orthodoxy and traditional morality in the public square. Camp IdRaHaJe is merely ground zero in the latest battle of their civilizational crusade.
