Why NTB Takes Had to Happen

I suppose many of you don't know who David French is. Good for you. For the rest of us, he stands as a warning sign for those of faith that it is far too easy to abandon principles for worldly gain.

David was once a solid voice for Christianity. A successful lawyer, writer and political commentator, his work and opinions have been featured in many well-known publications, including National Review, The Atlantic and The New York Times. In his earlier days, David espoused Biblical Christian social stances and, as an attorney, defended the rights of Christians to practice their religion without involvement from the government and free from social pressure and persecution. He even co-authored the Nashville Statement, affirming the Biblical teachings of sexual morality and opposition to gay marriage based on Biblical principles.

Then he changed his mind.

Not because the Bible had changed, mind you, but because the tides had. And honestly, these weren't just tides. What happened in the United States after 2016 was a proverbial tsunami of change, in which Biblical teachings were (and still are) continuously being swept up and washed away from the public discourse. The knee-jerk reaction of "intellectuals" to appease every single aspect of LGBTQ++++ rhetoric and toe the line for the Covid-pharmaceutical complex permeated every genre of journalism and media, so much so that even prominent Christian apologists and conservatives decided it wasn't worth defending the Bible or personal medical freedoms anymore. Instead, it was time to save face and join the new tide.

And that's why NTB Takes is important. In a world where media outlets are unwilling to stand for any principles - much less Judeo-Christian ones - more and more journalists and authors are taking the road of David French and "changing their minds" about truths that are and always will be unwavering. Elon's purchase of Twitter marked a monumental shift in freedom of speech, yet even with this new platform, many are still unwilling to speak with thoughtful, grounded wisdom when the publications and check-writers want their authors to adhere strictly to one, and only one, secular leftist ideology.

This project is an attempt to hold back the tsunami, to give a platform to those that are still willing to speak not for their own personal gain, but for the proliferation of truth. We won't censor our contributors or guide their opinions to meet a specific ideology. We will also support them by sharing revenue generated on their articles and giving them access to a wider demographic and audience than they may be able to reach on their own.

I'd welcome any authors that want to get involved to contact me directly ([email protected]) and tell me what they have to say and why NTB Takes is the right place to say it.

This is important.

This is NTB Takes.
