You have to see this year’s version of the “He Gets Us” Super Bowl ad that SHOULD have run

Just like last year's cringeworthy ad, this year's "He Gets Us" installment was inspirational to the unabashed, bold believers at Clear Truth, who dropped a banger of an alternative version to share.

In order to get the full impact of what they did, let's start with the original "He Gets Us" version that aired during Sunday's game:

There's really only one reaction I had while watching it live:

Just like last year's effort, the watered-down Jesus who says "I'll affirm you and walk alongside you as you continue unabated on your march through the gates of Hell" does more damage than good.

Don't misunderstand - there were some Christlike actions depicted in the ad, but greatness? That is how the folks at "He Gets Us" define and highlight Christ's greatness? Talk about leaving a lot on the table.

Thankfully, Clear Truth was inspired by that lackluster effort to do the job the right way themselves. Check this out:

That's great. That's inspiration. In fact, said better, that's the greatness Jesus inspires.

Can't wait to see what they come up with next year.
