Victories of the new Trump administration are even coming from unexpected places, as news broke Monday night that Jim Acosta was on his way out at CNN.
After 18 years with the network, everyone's favorite Trump-hating news reporter is set to resign following his removal from the 10 AM time slot by CEO Mark Thompson.
Acosta made a name for himself during Trump's first term in office, filling the role of a frequent foil and critic of just about everything Trump said and did. The winds of change have been a-blowin', however, and not even CNN has been able to resist shifting direction.
According to Newsweek, Acosta took exception to being asked to move to the 12 AM-2 AM "graveyard shift" time slot. Other reports, however, speculated that CNN was looking to make a peace offering of sorts to President Trump.
Regarding Thompson's suggesting that Acosta move to midnight, one source familiar with the situation said CNN was offering a sacrifice of sorts to Acosta's longtime nemesis, President Donald Trump.
