United flight diverts to airport 2,000 miles from destination after dog has explosive dookie in first class

Whenever you think that air travel can't possibly get any more unpleasant than it already is, well, just remember: You are wrong.

A United Airlines flight bound for Seattle had to divert to Dallas on Friday because of a literal s***storm.

A Redditor blamed dog poop for the diversion of his flight from Houston, attaching a stinky photo to his messy missive on the social media platform. United Airlines later confirmed the incident to Business Insider.

Here is the photo with most of the fecal matter censored:

"Dog had messy accident in the aisle right in first class. Plane diverted to DFW. Ground crew spent over 2 hours cleaning carpets with paper towels," the Redditor recalled in a Sunday post.

The smell "never quite went away," the writer claimed. Apparently they tried to clean up the mess with paper towels and perhaps baking soda:

Baking soda is a good tactic for this kind of crisis, but it seems unlikely that you're going to get the dog dookie smell out of a pressurized metal tube that's 35,000 feet up in the sky. That stink is there to stay until you can crack some windows and air it out. If you're on that plane, you're stuck with it.

Passengers reportedly saw "a woman and a service dog exiting the flight." Seems like that's the likely source of the chaos.

I bet this wouldn't have happened if Harambe wouldn't have died. Just sayin'.
