LET'S FREAKING GOOOOOOO!!!
Earlier this year, North Carolina's legislature overrode a veto from their crybaby governor to pass a moderate 12-week abortion ban and, in just a few months, the results have been tremendous.
The overall abortion rate in North Carolina is down 31% from this time last year, thanks to the 12-week ban which the governor called "extreme."
And by "extreme" he meant extremely effective in protecting babies.
There were 4,230 abortions provided in North Carolina's health care system in June and 2,920 in July — a decline of more than 30%, compared with a 7% decline nationally, according to Guttmacher, which supports abortion rights.
Yeah, that's 1,310 babies who were allowed to live instead of being brutally murdered.
Think about that: 1,310 babies in one month is over 15,000 in a year!
Now compound that year after year after year.
Now factor the children those babies will have. And their children. And their children.
We're talking about millions and millions of people who will live because of this law!! Hallelujah, Praise God!
And Axios is covering it as if it's a tragedy.
- Requiring in-person visits before the procedure may be having a wider effect than the 12-week ban itself, by forcing some patients to take time off from work and pay for travel and child care.
The more roadblocks you toss in the way, the more likely mothers are to carry their children to full term instead of having them assassinated by a doctor.
The other good news is that there's no evidence that these women who would have killed their children drove across the border for the procedure, as is often the case.
There's a long way to go still in outlawing abortion. Even the zero-abortion states are still allowing women to legally murder their children with pills. But these are all necessary steps to take in order to save the children and rid our country of this barbaric practice.
Good on North Carolina for standing up to pressure and passing a law that'll change the world, one baby at a time.
