I don't want to get everyone's hopes up, but Jerry Seinfeld just teased a possible reunion of his sitcom: "Something is going to happen”

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld just made headlines by telling a Massachusetts audience that something is in the works in relation to the Seinfeld show, and now people are freaking out that we might get a reunion.

Seinfeld, arguably the greatest television sitcom of all time, had a very controversial, okay, let's be honest, lackluster series finale that was nothing more than a glorified clip show.

And, for years, fans have been dissatisfied and demanded answers for this decision. And this week, when asked about the tragic finale, Jerry dropped this bombshell:

Seinfeld was asked whether he liked the TV sitcom's finale. "Well, I have a little secret for you about the ending. But I can't really tell it because it is a secret," he responded.

"Here's what I'll tell you, OK, but you can't tell anybody. Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. Hasn't happened yet," Seinfeld said to loud gasps and applause.

"And just what you are thinking about, Larry and I have also been thinking about it. So you'll see, we'll see."

Are we going to see an actual, real Seinfeld finale that makes everyone happy?

Somehow, I doubt it.

But who knows what Jerry and co-creator Larry David have been cooking up?

Maybe we'll be able to see where the Seinfeld crew is now after their unfortunate ending in the show.
