Last week, actress Alex PenaVega, who is most famous for her role in the Spy Kids movies, was interviewed on the Students for Life podcast "Speak Out" about her pro-life beliefs.

PenaVega said she was put in contact with a young woman who was a fan of hers after the girl's sister reached out for help in convincing her not to go through with the abortion.

PenaVega was able to join a Zoom call with the girl where she spent about an hour and a half talking to her and offering her support.

PenaVega said of their conversation,

I just told her about the joy that I have with my kids and the greatest thing that I ever felt was like being able to tuck them in at night and like seeing their beautiful little sleeping faces. … Those are moments that just are so life-giving. They're so simple and yet they're the most beautiful things you can experience as a mom.

She said at the end of the phone call that she didn't feel like they made much of an impact on the young mom, but afterward, the mom did choose to keep her baby.

PenaVega has remained in contact with the mom and said that seeing pictures of the newborn baby girl brings her to tears.

Even to play the tiniest role in that girl's life, I will forever feel connected to her.

PenaVega went on to say in the interview that she thinks the biggest difference for this particular young woman was not that she had a celebrity reach out to her, but that she had people in her life who committed to supporting her.
