We've finally done it. We've hit peak feminism.

So yeah, that's a real movie.

Raunchy rom-coms and feminist liberation movies usually look something like this one - something about the gratuitous sex jokes and suburban moms going feral appeals to a certain section of the populace, I guess.

Aren't we tired of the same old formula? It's literally the same thing over and over and over again.

The reason these movies keep being made isn't because they are making so much money.

The reason is that they appeal to our fallen sinful nature (for women particularly).

I mean, this was a little on-the-nose, wasn't it? ๐Ÿ‘‡

I mean - YEEEESH - the Serpent in the Garden couldn't have put it better!

Of course, fertility was connected to it:

Ah, yes, the radically new idea of a fertility goddess! I'm glad no one has ever thought to present "liberated" femininity with deity.

Goddess Isis, Ancient Egypt

Goddess Asherah, worshipped "under every spreading tree" in ancient Israel

Goddess Freyja pendant, found in the grave of a Norse priestess

Greek goddess Demeter

What an original idea!

Feminism should celebrate the superpower of bringing life into the world. That is a uniquely female role that men cannot fulfill.

  • But in the same breath that Hollywood will lift up motherhood, they will lift up a mother's power to kill her own child.

  • In the same breath that Hollywood says women are unique, they will say men can be women too.

  • In the same breath that Hollywood tries to glorify femininity, they use terms like "front hole" and "chest feeder" to describe women.

  • In the same breath that Hollywood says a woman is god-like, they will show her having animalistic sex and literally running with a pack of dogs.

And they can't even copy the source material correctly!

The Bible says that we are created "in God's image," and that those who obey God are his sons and daughters. We were appointed, as CS Lewis so wonderfully depicted through the kings and queens of Narnia, to rule over the earth and to fill it.

But as this movie trailer so poignantly shows, when you aim to knock God off his throne and put yourself in His place, you end up becoming a feral animal instead.
