Air India flight forced to return to U.S. after passengers clog 11 of 12 onboard toilets

Well, this really stinks:

Yes, on Wednesday, Air India flight 126 from Chicago to Delhi was over Greenland when eleven of the twelve toilets on board became inoperable, allegedly being clogged.

(There are so many Indian jokes I could make here but there's no way Not the Bee would sink to that level šŸ˜)

The only toilet available for all 300-or-so passengers was the one in business class, so they had to turn around five hours into the trip and head back to Chicago.

ā€˜Upon landing at Chicago, all passengers and crew disembarked normally and have been provided with accommodation to minimize inconvenience,' the company said in a statement, citing only a ā€˜technical issue.'

ā€˜Alternative arrangements are being made to fly the passengers to their destination,' the airliner added.

This wasn't enough for some customers due to the exhausting work that goes into rescheduling flights, so we'll see if Air India gives more than a simple discount to all of these passengers.

Hopefully the next plane has better plumbing!
